Tipping Point (2018)

Recycled wood, acrylic paint, wood varnish

65 x 140mm

Artist Description

“Tipping point” as the name suggests, shows two blocks of wood at its tipping point. Both blocks of wood are so different in shape, cuts and form, yet at the same time, are so similar in nature.

Visually, they do not look as if they belong together, yet, they both depend on each other for balance. The precarious position further heightens the tension within the piece.

This reflects human interaction and how everyone is so different on the surface, yet innately still emotionally feel and physically function the same.
